Volume: the measurement of how much of something Liter (L): a unit of measurement for volume.
Measuring with Liters
When we want to measure how much of something, whether it is water, orange juice, or Mountain Dew, we can use Liters.
To use a measuring cup, just pour the liquid in until the Liter mark.
In the United States, we usually use cups and gallons to show how much of something because we use the Customary System of Measurement. But sometimes (and ALWAYS in science) we use the metric unit, liters -like this 2 Liter bottle of Mountain Dew!
